Camp Silver Creek at Silver Falls State Park, Sublimity, Oregon.

Silver Falls State Park has beautiful forests, waterfalls, hiking trails, historic buildings and campgrounds.  We invite you to join us at Camp Silver Creek (located inside Silver Falls State Park) for the wedding ceremony and celebration. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

For more information about Silver Falls State Park: http://www.oregonstateparks.org/park_211.php

Camp Silver Creek cabins are included with our reservation. You are welcome to stay the night. Please RSVP and let us know if you would like to stay – and who your preferred “cabin buddy” is. (We have 80 spots included in our reservation.)

The cabins are rustic, so it’s like camping in a tent made of wood. (There are full restrooms, but you will have to walk a few steps to get there.) Please pack accordingly. Bring layered clothing, sleeping bag, pillow, camp mattress, toiletries, towel, and a flashlight. If you are traveling from out of state and want to camp, please let us know and we will try to find extra bedding for you to borrow. RV’s or vehicles longer than 45 ft are not allowed in Camp Silver Creek, but they are allowed in the regular campground.

A few minutes drive from Camp Silver Creek, the Silver Falls State Park campground has tent and RV sites, as well as cabins. Camp sites are $15-20 per night. Cabins are $39 per night.

About Us

Anna grew up in Salem, Oregon. She went to Whitworth College in Spokane (and Willamette University in Salem). After college, she hopped around from Oregon to Alaska to Europe and back. She settled in Portland, working at a Montessori school. She now coordinates a Medication Assistance Program for uninsured patients through Legacy Clinics. Anna enjoys cooking/baking; gardening; antique shopping; and reading novels & cookbooks.

Josh grew up in Portland, Oregon. He  got his Bachelor’s at Dominican University in the San Francisco Bay Area, and his Master’s at San Francisco Theological Seminary. Josh loves playing board games and worked at a game store during seminary. He moved back to Portland in 2008 and started working at two local Presbyterian churches as Youth Director. Josh is presently seeking ordination in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Josh loves supporting the Portland Timbers and Norwich City.

Josh and Anna met through a mutual friend (named the internet) at the end of 2009 and emailed for a while before meeting in person. It was tricky to schedule a date around Christmas. But they met and hit it off. And over the following months, they discovered they love spending time together. In February, 2012, they got engaged at Silver Falls State Park.

Anna and Josh enjoy cooking together and reserve Monday nights for homemade dinner. They also love trying new restaurants and pubs. Often they will bring along a game to play while they wait for their food. Josh and Anna enjoy spending time with their families in the Portland area and in Salem. They are season ticket holders for the Portland Timbers. (Josh is a louder fan than Anna, though you would be surprised sometimes.) They like hosting parties and have had a Memorial Day/Joan of Arc picnic three years running. Anna and Josh dream of traveling to Paris and Edinburgh, respectively, but hopefully can visit both together. They also dream of buying an old home, with hardwood floors and a front porch. For the time being, they will rent a house in North Portland (with wood floors and a front porch).

Our address is 3539 N Commercial Ave. Portland, Oregon 97227

Having your love and support is the greatest gift of all. We are excited to celebrate with you.

Some of you are flying from out of state and have travel expenses. And others have volunteered to help with the reception or camp cleanup. These are your gifts to us and we thank you!

For those interested in a more traditional registry, we have a House & Home savings account for the future purchase of a home and bigger items like a living room rug and couch; and we registered at Kitchen Kaboodle for household items.
